Extra bit of mortgage required during fixed rate

Options
Hi there
9 months into a 2 year fixed rate mortgage with Yorkshire BS and moving house and need to borrow another 50-60 K obviously have to stary with YBS to avoid redemption, but what do I do with this extra amount. If I start another fixed rate then this will be out of sync with the first and large lump but then on the other hand don't want a variable rate for 15 months with the way things are going.
Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks
Macca

YBS have said we can't have the extra bit on the old fixed rate we must take out a new product and we must stick to the old product for the rest of the term - which I suppose is good as now interest rates are higher and all that - which counts as this is a substantial mortgage we're talking about.
    Many thanks
