Deed of postphonement who can charge it?

Please do not judge me for what i am going to say i have asked both parties and they both contradict each other.

We are looking to remortgage with our current providers Britannia.

Original mortgage £77000 plus an additional lending of £10000.

We currently are also paying a loan from First Plus secured on our property for £18000

The house was valued at £130,000 last month

Britannia have accepted our application (and charged us the fees including a deed of postponement) but now we have received a letter from first plus saying they now want to charge £125 for a deed of postponement.

I spoke with britannia and they said that First plus arent the First Lender therefore cannot charge for D.O.P ?
Trying to get through via phone to first plus is proving taxing actually the term is impossible.

I am just after someone confirming who should be charging this?

Please help

Thanks

First Plus outline the circumstances for the fee in the first paragraph here:

It suggests that they charge you to compensate for their charge ranking below the new lending from Britannia. If that is the case, Britannia should not charge it on top of the Further Advance fee, as their charge will not rank below First Plus' second charge.

If you have no joy getting through to First Plus, try Britannia again and ask if they think the charge on the new lending will rank below First Plus' charge. And if they do, tell them it won't so they shouldn't charge the DoP fee as well.
