Recipe for Passion!

Options
We have a bumper crop of bright orange fruits on our passion flower plant. Does anyone know what we can do with them?

(The rosehips have excelled themselves as well - any recipes for those too?)

Thanks for any suggestions,

Barbara.

  • Hi Barter,
I too have a bumper crop this year. I looked around on the internet a few weeks ago but there wasn't much info. The following extract was the best I could find. (You can eat the pulp raw - it's quite pretty once you get rid of the covering membrane, and the flavour is very delicate.)
    Cheers,

What about making some jellies? I made some apple and rosehip jelly yesterday and it's lovely. I used thriftlady's instructions here.

Many thanks to all - tried to click the 'thanks' buttons, but it
won't register them; just getting the 'error on page' note.

Bit more global warming & maybe Delia will be doing a series on them!

    Thanks again, B.
  • Hi - if this is the same as passion fruit then you can drizzle the juice on a pavlova. This is my favourite dessert. If they are like the ones your get in the supermarket, they are not ripe until they are wrinkly.
