can anyone tell me if charges on a car finance aggreement are considered part of the actual amount loaned? i have my aggreement finishing soon but i have charges of £175 on top, this is due to them messing my payment dates up, then taking twice the amount and not issuing a refund and various things they have done, i have never missed a payment but the charges incurred have been their errors. however does this mean when i pay my final installment the aggreement is finished and the charges are dealt with seperate?

The whole amount will be repayable, including any charges incurred, before the debt will be settled.

What was their response when you pointed out that the charges incurred have been their errors?

Did they agree to reduce the balance outstanding ?

no response from them apart from i have to prove it was their error.it's funny when you state that they could trace their "call recording" which states me telling them the information, suddenly they dont record calls.
another thing that gets me is, they have taken twice the amount due this month, it's gone past a week and they still have not defunded that amount over which they took, if i was a week paying them the money, i'd be hit with a £70 charge, i should be able to charge them too!
