Rest Assured are part of the Silentnight group . You really should do a search in the MSE forums before you even consider them.

If I were you I would stay away from big brand names and big chain stores if you want good quality at a low price, and shop on line from a seller who gives a proper satisfaction guarantee that allows you to actually unpack and sleep on the mattress. This way it is in their interest to make sure that you make the right choice the first time.

    Thanks Tim.

Can you suggest any (by PM if necessary)?

This was >£500 for the mattress so I don't think particularly low cost!

I'm afraid I can't. I'm not on MSE to sell, I'm just here to give advice.

It doesn't matter how expensive their mattresses are. I wouldn't pay £100 for one. They don't even state the depth of the lates, which probably means it is 1" deep at the most. It is also a blend of synthetic and natural, and isn't natural latex. The mattress is also non turn.
  • Hi
I bought a new mattress recently and tried it out for a couple of days, just on my current futon bed frame.. I have had bad back ache from it. Its a pocket Sprung medium mattress. Do you think the bed frame could be a factor in this... or would u advise me to get a mattress topper if those work? Ive already opened it and cannot return or exchange it! :( HELP!

It's difficult to say. Futon frames don't generally give sufficient support, especially for a pocket sprung mattress. How is the futon base constructed, and what is the make and model of mattress?
  • The futon base is just slats, they are approx 2 inches wide and have a space of just under 2 inches between them all. The make of the mattress is Joseph Furniture- Dream Pocket 800

Well the base isn't suitable for a pocket sprung mattress (regardless of what you were told by the retailer). The springs will be trying to push down between the slats, which can damage the mattress.
