Go away Frederickson International!

Hi,
I was getting lots of phone calls from a company called 'Frederickson International' regarding a debt relating to someone I have never heard of. Nor has this person ever lived at my address. I explained this to the operator and they agreed to pursue other lines of enquiry, however about two weeks later they still kept leaving answermachine messages with the same thing.

Having looked on the internet, I saw FI were a debt collection agency and charge a lot of money for calling them back - so I decided against calling them to explain the situation ONCE AGAIN!
Now I keep getting text messages on my land line, saying to call FI urgently on a personal matter.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with me and I do not even know the woman they keep asking for. How can I get them to stop calling/texting my phone?

They seem a really unscrupulous company who dont seem to listen to anyone! Help!

    FI contact number is 020 3147 8000. http://www.fredricksoninternational.co.uk/contact.aspx

I think you should inform them again there information is incorrect, you have informed them of this and as such are in breach of the data protection for inaccurate records and unlawful processing of data.

If the phone calls still persist, your next step is to talk to the ICO.
We had a bit of an issue with a debt collector, we were trying to help a friend so gave them our number. They then refused to speak to us but kept on ringing, we told them to remove the number. Week goes by they ring again and we issue a warning of reporting them. The calls never happened again. When we got a log from them of phone calls, this 2nd call was logged as a "wrong number".

Its typical of how these DCA's work.
You tell them one thing in one ear & out the other it goes.
All they are interested in is a payment, no matter what.
Report these clowns to the OFT & trading standards if you wish...
