  • Great post, thats my niece sorted for xmas! ps. how do opt to collect in store?
  • And now that I've looked at the link, the £12.99 price ticket is amazingly untrue (it'll be one of those "been sold in one of our stores for 28 days at the higher price" loopholes). Woolies will have paid under £3.00 for this so think to yourself just how much the consumer gets conned by prices. And if it ever was £12.99 then just think how much Woolies are making out of you.

Don't get me wrong though, this is a good price for a good product (although they are tiny pots)

ps Support your local independent retailer. There's not many of us left!!!!

I just had a real play 'DOH' moment after reading this thread. I was alerted to this deal on Saturday (are we allowed to post deals and offers that we've seen on other sites here??? I think I've misunderstood the stickys with regard to 'plagiarism'. Yikes!) and ordered it to be collected in store, however the estimated delivery date is Sept 20th! Didn't realise that this offer was available in store and I could have just gone and bought it.

My GD has just turned 2, is this safe for her to play with (she puts everything in her mouth - everything) and will she be too young to play with it??

Nb, re-read the above, and just for clarities sake, GD is my God Daughter! not Grand Daughter! LOL. If she really were my Grand-daughter, I hope some caring MSE would have contacted Social Services immediately with regard to my blatant lack of child rearing knowledge. ;)

In regards to the 'would a 5 year old like it' question .... my daughter is 5 and is just "getting into" playdoh :) she is now old enough to make real things and not just stamp it into the carpet.

Happy 5 year old pressie shopping !!

  • Just got two from Leeds Woolies - be aware that these pots sure are mini - just over an inch tall - but I'm sure they'll be worth the fiver... Be aware that if you're considering posting them anywhere (as presents) they'll probably cost more than £5 to post... I found them reassuringly heavy :)

Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • Not wanting to rain on anyone's parade but the pots are 26g each, about the size of half a yoghurt pot or a paint matchpot each. The image in the OP does make them look massive.

That said, it makes them less likely to be wasted if you want to ration them out to small hands and they are a manageable size.

I got one of the shelf in Woolies at Portrack Lane, Stockton.
