hi, i have been on a debt repayment plan for around 3 years. when i started this a card i had with american express was passed on to a company called rma resolve with whome i have been repaying. however this week i checked my credit report and the original debt with american express has been put as a default and classed as satisfied. according to rma records and mine i owe £900.37 on the debt but this does not show on my credit report.
Experian credit expert have said that the originall debt has been setteld and advised not to pay rma saying that they can not put a ccj on it as the original debt has been defaulted and classed as satisfied.
i will be contacting american express to see if the a/c is cleared according to them but was hoping for some advice regarding paying rma
please help

Hi,
I've never heard of rma. However, like most debt collection agencies they may be well be trying to get what they can out of you. If it is showing as settled, don't pay another penny. I also wonder if you may be able to money back from them?!, but Someone with more advice/knowledge than me will be along soon to provide more advice/assistance.
Good luckIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

thankyou. the a/c has only just been classed as satisfied (end of june) so not sure it would be worth trying to claim back from them.0
