Hi,
I just wondered if anyone had any advice for removing black damp stain which has appeared on my new solid wood floor. We discovered (after the damp appeared!) that the dishwasher had been leaking slowly.. drip after drip.. not enough to make a puddle but enough to make the floor go black as it seeped into/under the wood. The dishwasher was right at the end of the worktop and so the black has appeared at the outside of the end panel and yes would you believe right as you come into the kitchen at the back door.
Any advice would be much appreciated but I really dont think much can be done as the black is in the grain of the wood??
back to the joys of dishwashing!! (mind you its not all bad, my children, aged 10, now know how to wash & dry dishes which is something they had no clue about before when we had the dishwasher) Anthea Turner would be very proud of them. :rotfl:
