Free text messages on Orange pay as you go

Hi

Does anyone know how to get free text messages on orange pay as you go? the text to 1127 and 1122 dont work any more so was wondering if anyone knew any other ways?

Reporo, the mobile shopping place, sent an email out a while ago about a service they're planning which would allow you to send texts over WAP. That's supposed to work out cheaper than straight text messages over the network, although (a) I don't think the service is up and running yet, and (b) I've no idea how much it would cost.

Worth keeping an eye out for, though.

Do you have Orange email?
Anyone who has an orange phone can have the email FREE, you are entitled to 30 FREE sms every month when you log in to your account.

You can do free texts direct from the computer. I registered on the orange site ages ago, following a tip off on here, and always use these free texts when I'm at home. You can only send, not recieve, on the PC. Hopefully somebody more technologically minded will put the link up for you. Otherwise you will have to trawl through the threads on here. Try the phone forum. Sorry, this post isn't really much help, is it?

I get free texts on o2 because I get unlimited free wap and set my mms messages to send over wap = free mms and free texts!

If you phone them up and ask, then they will give you either 3000 evening and weekend texts or 300 anytime texts along with so many minutes of free evening calls to orange mobs and a little of bit of free orange world aswell. You just have to make sure you have topped up by £10 a month to make sure you get your free bonuses for the next month.
