Letter for Early Discharge !!

I cannot believe my eyes. This morning, I came home to find a letter from my OR asking me to fill in a form, and if all is ok, then they will put me forward for early discharge!!!!:j
I cannot believe it, I had to read it several times, I know it is not a given that it will happen, but I am so pleased.
I only went bankrupt in March, so if it goes through quickly then I could be finished within 5 months !!:j
It has been a new start for me, and we have finally moved and got our lives back on track, and this is just the best news I could have, as it is finally saying to me that the bad part of my life could be over with very very quickly !!
For all those out there who are going to take the plunge, then all I can say is that it is not an easy ride, but you will come through it, and you will start your life again, without the debts.
There is nothing better than paying by cash, and now I can honestly say that I will never ever buy a business again, and eventually I will be pleased to get paid as an employee again (once little buba is old enough for me to get a job again !!).
It has been hard, but with all the advice from you good folks on here, i had quite a smooth journey. I can honestly say that I am now happier than I have been in years, and even hubby has noticed that I can smile again !!
Fingers crossed that I have no objections from my creditors, and will be checking the register quite alot now to see if my name disappears lol !!

Hi Casual,
I am with Southend on Sea, the court I went to was Romford, Essex.
I honestly thought that due to it being all business debts etc, that I was going to have an extended bankruptcy, did not expect to even hear from them until my automatic discharge.
Chrisboro1975, I am astonished that you have not had an interview yet, I had to have a face-to-face one, and I was in pieces.
I could not imagine what it is like waiting all this time just for your interview, as you cannot put it out of your mind until they have done their grilling!! Perhaps they are just so busy, but even so 4 months is a long old time.
I will be sending off their form tomorrow, I think I will even pay for recorded delivery, just to make sure that they get it within the 14 days and it doesnt go walkies !!0 -
chris, maybe you won't have an interview, I know there are some on here that haven't had interviews as the OR was able to deal with it just by using the information provided on the forms.
ash, I didn't bother with the recorded delivery, just sent it 1st class and they got it ok.0 -
god i could do with an early discharge my friends. im still out of work. and have already lost my house. so hopefully with a bit of luck the OR will not need me for the interview. as my paperwork. had every little detail he would need from account numbers and full addresses. for each creditor. plus final amounts for all debts.but knowing my luck i will go till AD next march???:mad:0

Well, I'm afraid it happens. The only thing you can do is accept from the start, is that you will be BR for 12 months. If you end up with it being less (let's hope that is the case for the OP, but not guaranteed), then that is a mighty bonus.
I was BR on 4th Feb this year. Whilst I still check the register every day, I really know that I'm looking towards 4th Feb 2011. Do the same (well, for your anniversary, not mine
) and it'll be less stress for you in the meantime.

I agree with onward, whilst it is nice to get ED it is not guaranteed, you need to assume that you will not get discharged until next year, and ED will be a nice bonus if you get it.
Also there was talk of them stopping ED so don't get your hopes up, and anyway nothing much changes it is still on your file for 6 years.
Can I ask why you think ED would make such a difference to you ? x0
