    And the two 40% figures?

Sorry chuckles, it just looked like you had made them up.
you really can't be this thick...
finds that the proportion of people that expect prices to be higher one year from now has dropped from 50% to 41% since last quarter.
that's 41% that think they will go up...
one in five believe prices will fall over the next year
    that's 20% that think they'll go down...

that leaves 39% to think that they'll stay the same....

    41%+20%+39% = 100% - do you understand yet??

i have to say Mr Muddle that this is your chewbacaa technique at it's very best

it would have helped if he understood that 100% minus 41% and minus 20% equaled 39%...

instead he kept on telling me that i was wrong...

very cute baby though - definitely looks like his mum :)

Ignore, Graham, it's chucky's usual atttempt to derail a good news thread like this by nitpicking on some particular issue in the hope of boring everyone off the thread.

    Good OP.

here's the bit that i nit picked on, it was the piece that i was being questioned on....

41% of people think that house prices will go up...
39% of people think house prices will stay the same
and in last place only 20% of people think that house prices will fall

it's always good to deal in facts
