Good afternoon all!
This is my first appearance on such a site... where has it been hiding all my life!!!
Ive got a few decisions to start making. I want to get engaged v.soon, but i also dont want any money problems.
At the minute i have around 7k of credit card debt, on a few cards at the normal high rate, would it be wise to consolidate it in a loan?
i dont have problem paying it off, around double the min payments, but i dont want it hanging around. Also with loadns can you chip away at them... so i had a extra few quid one month could i pay it off?
any info will surely help!
Thanks in advance.
Chris

Go there, fill it in, post it here.
More debt is not the answer.0 -
Only if its a 0% card and you use the time at 0% to pay it off. However this takes a lot of discipline which in our experience (me and oh) the discipline not to put more debt on them has only come with not being able to get one for a while and watching the interrest on our payments destroying the monthly payments.
Loans suck - I think its becuase it kinda doesn't "feel" like at debt (well for me at least)
Best way would be look to see if you can get a 0%, get an additional part time job or increase your income (boot fairs, ebay loads of ingenious ideas on the up your income board) throw everything at the dent and ride it out. Good luck xDF as at 30/12/16
