Requesting free samples from companies

I was just wondering if you have written to companies requesting samples, and if so which companies and if you had any success with them.
P.s. i wasn't sure if this is supposed to be in the freebie board or somewhere else. If it's meant to be somewhere else, please can you move it?

Not a freebie, but I sent an e-mail to the Olay website asking for a suggestion for a different moisturiser as the Blemish care one (started using it after getting a free sample via this board) is making my skin feel tight. Thye didnt send me any samples, but I got a £5 voucher towards any Olay product of my choice, better than nothing I suppose.

I contacted Neutrogens through there site about a week ago, asking if they had any samples of their new product 'Pure Glow'. But seeing it was an american site, they don't have any samples to hand out but they forwarded my request onto someone at their UK branch and a few days later I got 2 X £1 vouchers off any Neutrogena product.Latest wins:0

I wrote and asked BeneFit for some samples - they wrote back (lovely letter) saying they didn't really do samples but sent me a small capsule thingy of their depuffing stuff for eyes (so a sample then!)0

How funny, I've been thinking about getting some of these! Were you watching 'The Wright Stuff' 's feature on eco-friendly cleaning, too?!0 -
soapnuts are ace! Definately recommend getting a sample of them to try out. You can get some here: http://www.inasoapnutshell.com/, down at the bottom right of the page0
