As suggested by edinvestor i asked the question of zurich if they would allow me to take max TFC and transfer remainder into sipp, they agreed, so on my fund of 150k i can take TFC at 90k investing the rest for drawdown, it took a lot of ringing but it was worth it.

:T :T Well done shiredeon.
Persistence pays off.
Now you'll have to decide what to invest the drawdown money in, so that it groiws away there while you guys are off doing your own thing.
Presumably James Hay offers a very wide choice of funds?
Have a look at this site where the funds are all put into their categories and rated. Obviously pick from the top 10:

The equivalent to the HYP idea ( lower risk equities) are "Equity Income" funds. Property funds (bricks and mortar, commercial, not residential) also worth a look. For a bit of spice, commodities funds, special situations, UK small caps perhaps.Trying to keep it simple...0 -
Do i look at IMA funds or ABI funds, and what quantity would you consider
for a 90k investment, thanks.0 -
IMA.
I thought you were taling the 90k in cash and it was the remaining amount that needed to be invested?Trying to keep it simple...0 -
