Which companies use which credit report companies?

I've tried a few google searches on the internet but can't seem to find what i'm looking for. A while ago i came across a website that listed the main banks and credit card companies and listed the different credit report companies they used while doing a credit check. Does anyone have a link to a table like this? Cheers in advance.

Thanks for that Geebee, very useful indeed!!!!

By the looks for the thread, companies only search Experian and Equifax and don't bother with Callcredit?

I couldn't get my callcredit report because when i applied online they said the information i provided didn't match their record for me. I have to send them a load of documents to get my report through the post, that will be difficult because most of my post goes to my parents address and not to the address i currently live at and used as my home address while applying online. If it's the case that companies rarely use Callcredit to do a search then i suppose there isn't much need for me to bother getting my report from them.

My report with Experian looks much better than my report with equifax (which has some incorrect information) so i guess if i wanted to apply for any credit i'd be better off going for a company that only use Experian.

I would be inclined to try and get the incorrect information corrected. If it is truly incorrect, there shouldnt be a problem and it would certainly be better than having it sitting on there. Maybe getting your address correctly listed would help too?. If there are different/incorrect details on the reports, it will look suspicious to any potential creditors.

I personally dont know anything about call credit, i never got my report from there but as theres nothing on my experian or equifax, i guess there's no point. :rotfl: I got lumbered with paying a fee for membership to experian as i forgot to cancel in time!. If you want to check it, you can always send the £2 fee and maybe try it that way. Either way, it really would be worth tidying up your credit files and making sure all the information matches and is correct
