That is a very nice set, we've got two of the same motor unit (IIRC it's discontinued), as we got one with the hedgtrimmer and strimmer, and one with the brush cutter, rotovator (not in that bundle) and mini mower (not in the bundle) last year when they were just starting to phase out the pull start motor for the "easier to use" battery ignition ones.
One of the best DIY buys you can get if you've got a reasonable sized garden, the motor starts pretty much every time if you follow the instructions and it's much better than electric units due to the better power (for the price) and no need to lug cabling around.
One minor to to note is that the Strimmer and Brush cutter are both basically the same part, with just the wire cutter swapped for a metal blade (and that set has both on their own poles), so depending on how the set is actually packed you may end up with a spare strimmer reel (iirc the brush cutter in it's own box has a strimmer reel, metal blade and stiff wire cutters that are interchangeable), and when we got our sets last year from other retailers it was basically the motor + 1 attachment in a box, then other boxes with the other attachments (so every attachment had it's full set of extras).
The only two things to bear in mind are
1: It's heavier than an electric unit, but not bad (I'm not very fit but manage it fine).
2: Always use the correct petrol/oil mix (the set includes an easy mix bottle and oil), or the motor will die fairly fast as it relies on the mixed petrol/oil to lubricate the engine..
*IIRC the only difference between that engine and the new ones is the new ones have a small starter motor and battery rather than the pull start (I suspect the pull start is a lot more reliable - if for no other reason than you don't have to worry about a battery dying)..0 -
Our garden is huge! so we only use petrol strimmer and lawnmower, but we never had a good strimmer (cant moan it was free) so i thought i would treat us to this, our drive is 300m long with trees either side so i want to give it a bit of a trim otherwise it gets butchered by the tractor and doesnt look too nice. I cant wait to get it, if its too heavy i will get my OH to do it lolIs a Bipolar bear
