Tesco Vouchers

I know its bad to use vouchers in store, but I need to do some shopping and have something big to ask....
Do Tesco give change on their vouchers?
I have £45 and only need to get some essentials, (milk, nappies and bread etc) but my vouchers are in £15 denominations.
Please don't all tell me not to use them in store I know this is silly, but we have no nappies:D

i am nearly 100% sure that you dont get change...have tried before (before i started reading MSE before everyone shakes their heads in despair) and if it is less you have to pay cash. Best to double check at Customer services when you go in.
I generally use boots points for nappies as you cant use boots points for anything better...... Hope this helps

Yes, it's true - you don't get any change whatsoever! Could you buy a phone card or postage stamps or anything that ensures Tesco don't get to keep your change?

Well what I would do is buy my nappies and then buy something to boost the balance eg spend £15 on nappies, but say buy a smoothie maker for £30 then I would return the next day saying that I didn't realise that MIL had one already and then I would get the £30 cash refund. That way I would ensure that I had used all my vouchers and I am sure that CS would be unable to refund you the vouchers back so it would have to be a cash refund. Then you would have the money to spend elsewhere too
