Big love to you Taxi. You are coping brilliantly and are nearing the end of a difficult road. Almost there

I'm always nice to myself but it is very upsetting/frustrating that I am having great difficulty walking now.I can only walk a few yards or stand a few mins before being in excruciating pain.I'm hoping that its down to the increase in weight from the steroids making the osteoarthritis play up.
I'm going to get my WW stuff out and make a start after the steroids.0 -
Once you have had the last set of chemo, you can start concentrating on getting better again (yes, I know you will have radio as well, but the worst will be over). You will find that your energy returns, you will be able to walk more, for example, and although you will probably still be a bit up and down as far as reactions to drugs/having an appetite etc, it will all start to settle down, and you will notice big improvements in your weight, and fitness, and general wellbeing again.
At the moment, your body is trying to deal with so much - be careful not to put too much more pressure on yourself by worrying about the weight. It will be uncomfortable, but once you get moving again you will settle down.

I agree with Hypno, Taxi, not to put any more stress on your body. Can you check with your GP/oncologist about taking something like Floradix - its a herbal remedy, only usually available in really good health stores?
EDIT - actually, why didn't I think of that for me? Doh!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
is floradix that really strong smelling stuff in the health shop...
perhaps i need to wait about losing the weight then.
just done banking and put £13 into savings.
feeling sicky this morning...hope that passes soon.0 -
Yes, it is, Taxi - very dark too. I'd check with your doctors every step of the way about any of this - and didn't you have free access to complementary practitioners at some stage? Maybe have a talk with them.
I'm sorry you're still feeling so sick2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
