Cleaning silver and gold Pandora charms

The silver on my Pandora charms has gone black after my holiday, and I am not sure how to clean them, as these charms are a mixture of gold and silver. I had hoped that my ultrasonic jewellery cleaner would work on them, but unfortunately not, the gold is sparkling but the silver is still black. How do other people keep these charms shiney?

The same happened to mine after going into jacuzzi (forgot to take it off!)
I tried jewellers but they wanted to send away to clean...quite expensive, so i bought some silver cleaner in a tin with soft wadding cloth and cleaned up in no time at all (Duraglit or something similar)

I think it must have been the chemicals in the aftersun and mosquito repellant.
I will try that, but I know there are specific cleaners for gold or silver and didn't want to spoil one while cleaning the other.

I clean silver jewellery with toothpaste and an old toothbrush. It works a treat and smells much nicer than specialist silver cleaners!

I clean my pandora charms with toothpaste too, works a treat, like Giger says. :)
