My ex gets it when he is run down. I think it is one of those things that happens as a reminder to slow down a little (though a polite little note would be much easier!)? I know it is not nice, hope you are on the mend soon.
    Gone ... or have I?

I had Bell's Palsy some years ago. Woke up one morning and the left side of my face had dropped, I thought I had had a stroke. I was given steroids too. It must have been very frightening for you. I completely recovered, face back to normal, although now and again I get pins and needles down that side of my face. Try to get as much rest and relaxation as you can. They say it's a viral thing but I think it was down to stress as I was working in a horrendous place at the time.
    All the best to you.

    as for mse...
there are nerve stimulation machines (like those exercise belts that work your muscles without you exercising)
for the face that they sell for hundreds and hundreds of pounds to desparate people.

but my oh just went to the local hospital physiotherapy department that had one and did sessions there for free.
he says it helped. i'm not as convinced, but in any case it does tend to improve with time.

    Same for me.
I got mine when I was 37 weeks pregnant. I had pre-eclampsia and was very swollen, they put it down to that. As they wouldn't give me steriods because of the baby I just had to get on with it.

12 years later I'm 95% recovered. It's a real pain having it as my eye still waters and I still can't blow both cheeks out. But people who didn't know me before BP honestly don't know I've got it.

I hope you make a full and fast recovery.
