I think the Guardian is the only paper that doesn't give you a distorted right wing perspective.

Yes instead it quite rightly blames us for all the harm in the world. I mean we single handedly created the term terrorist didnt we? Or should i say 'freedom fighter'?

The Guardian is for people that have no touch of reality. They dream the ways things should be without thinking it through.

for me - the 'Grauniad' has a reputation for namby-pamby-ness but today this is totally unfair! for e.g., it's got a great science supplement. The 'berliner' shape is also fantastic i think - doesn't take up the entire table when you read it and is a readable broadsheet on a commute.

If you want a balanced perspective read Socialist Worker and the Daily Mail. You'll soon have a chip on both shoulders ;)

I think I am more in touch with reality than if I read any other paper. I live in a major city, my husband is a Murder Squad Detective, I have 3 children age 13, 10 and 3. Difficult not to live in reality.
My husband reads the Daily Mail, it amazes me the way it presents its political coverage with its biased right wing comments.

Don't know what you are going on about re the term terrorist.
All I know is that I never thought we should have invaded Iraq and I still don't now.

Sorry OP to hi-jack thread, but don't like to be condescended to and told I have no touch with reality.

By the way the posters are a massive, A1 size and brill. I will be putting the wild flowers and wild berries one in glass frames amd displaying them in the kitchen. Still some really good posters to come.
Noticed last time they were going for £2.50 + P and P on E bay.

i dont think you can compare the daily mail to the socialist worker.

this is coming from an independent reader.

the socialist worker really is a 'dream' publication.
  • thanks to the op for a great reminder that these are on offer. We are very pleased with ours and sorry you have had your post hijacked!

I do love this site - what a great discussion!

I'm grabbing 5 mins on a borrowed computer, as mine has been 'fried by a power surge' (so much for surge and spike protection).

Today's Private Eye offers a wallchart of all your favourite wallcharts, including:
shrubs, moths, umbrellas, trouser presses, viruses, manhole covers and biros!

    Cheered up my day.
