Hi

I am looking to set up a debt management plan but have just read in my mortgage terms that if I set up any voluntary agreements then I will need to repay them all the money we owe immediately. Can they do this?? This is all new to me and very scary.

I was beginning to feel better about my situation (40,000 non secured debt) but am even more worried.

any advice appreciated.

  • HEY DON'T WORRY...

If you do start a DMP your mortgage is classed as a priority payment so you would carry on as normal, but do not quote me on that, I am not totally sure and I am sure someone else will be able to help.

But anyway, well done for your 1st post and coming on here, its a bit like a huge family, everyone helps everyone else, soon you will handing out advice!!!
