I have always used the cheap Rimmel one. It stays on and doesn't smudge. Whenever I try a more expensive brand Im always disappointed at the way they clump and usually return back to Rimmel.

You could try sealing your own mascara, Clarins make a good one and so do Benefit, its calles shelaq:)

Have you tried shelaq? just wondering as I have- you paint it over your regular mascara and its supposed to seal the mascara in. (Its not a mascara in itself).

Its like nail varnish- literally- all my lashes felt clumpy and stuck together, I do not recommend trying this if you have not already tried it! B*stard to remove too.

I have tried it and liked it a lot I also used it on my eyebrows to keep them in place and on eye shadow to stop it moving or creasing, I no longer wear eye shadow so dont need it for that but the key to this product is a very very small amount goes a long way, also did you use the little brush set it comes with?, I found it worked well when I used the appropriate tool for the job, I stopped using it for several reasons the main one being that it gives a shiney appearance, not so good for eyebrows and after a bit of research I realised that Shelaq is virtually the same as hairspray which is much cheaper and gives a matte finish although obviously thats no good for the OPs original query:)

    Should I try it?
Do you think if you had put it on with an old mascara wand they wouldn't have gone clumpy and stuck together?
I really do need something I hate the panda eye look:o

I recommend Maxfactor Masterpiece waterproof. Lasted me through my dad's funeral, so I'd say it's pretty robust.
    Nobody I'd rather be ;)

I did use the brushes- but they seemed to harden with the product on them too fast for me to apply evenly- I did try rinsing the brush between uses but there was this crunchy film which flaked off whenever I tried to use it- no matter how or what I tried to wash it in. Then it was unconfortable to wear, painful to remove and just lost too many eye lashes with this thing to recommened it to anyone, glad it works for someone though., just did not work for me.

Its up to you I guess, but I'd say as benefit are so customer ready, I'd go visit their concessions and ask them to trial it on for you, just did not work for me at all.
