Incorrect CCJ, no-one will help...

Hi All...

Just a query i have at the moment, i was hoping you may be able to advise me with....here goes.

In 2003 my mother accrued a CCJ in my name (naughty i know...), but since then the CCJ has been paid in full, and my mother paid around £30 to have the debt/CCJ placed into her name. All seemed fine, until i recently requested my credit report and the CCJ is still showing on my report as unsettled and in my name.

Now then, my first port of call was to contact the Court, who confirmed that the CCJ had been transferred into my mothers name and they had informed the land registry that this was the case so this should have been removed from my report.

I again spoke to the credit report people, who said this is not the case, so i tried to call the land registry, to which my call was answered by a very rude and unhelpful woman.

This was all over 3 months ago, since then i have requested another report, to which the CCJ is still showing.

I have field a dispute with equifax, but they informed me that there is nothing they can do and i need to speak to the court....I'm going round in circles, and this is obviously a big problem on my near spotless credit history.

Can anyone offer any advice as i just cant seem to get anything done...

Best Regards

Donna

  • The records will be held with the registry trust https://www.registry-trust.org.uk and the court should of updated their information.

The first course of action should be to see what is actually registered at the registry trust, The CRA’s will only publish the information they extract from the R.T and will not amend their files until the R.T is updated.

If the data held at the R.T is still incorrect then you will need to go back to the court and obtain a copy of the transfer order.
 It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them
