Has anyone has success using Priceline for 5 Star Belfast Hotels. I went through Martins guide with prices of £30 the £35 both rejected no surprise there but ill increase it a few pounds each day.
Has anyone else managed to bag a hotel in Belfast through it? if so how much

Beware booking through third party websites. We are booked for later this year to Malmaison and I happened to call in on chance to confirm our booking. They had no record of it and very few rooms left for our date
Luckily I was able to provide details of the booking company and got it all sorted out *phew*0 -
ah but the thing is if you book through 3rd party sites may times the hotel doesn't get your details until the day of arrival because realistically you may well cancel, but generally a room will be reserved they just wont have a name for it yet
unless of course its a ropey 3rd party site you use
on the other hand you can book direct with Jurys and turn up to be told they have no room for you like we did last Christmas!Norn Iron Club Member #64

Hotel had no corporate reservations (that may be the wrong description) they know when a third party company is booking rooms and our company was unheard of by Malmaison. They said they will investigate as they have no links/dealings with this company. I don't mind as I got it all sorted out though.0

That's a rather worrying situation! Imagine if you were to turn up abroad to find the hotel you had booked had no record of it!0 -
I think Priceline is ok though-
if you try Trip Advisor- even for UK /Ireland Hotels they usually have about 4 booking agents like expedia , booking.com, hostelworld, hotels.com. Also try kelkoo.com. + Travelhotspots.net
I've booked with quite a few agents for european hotels this way
(the main booking agents are ok + its certainly the way things are going in that you can book travel and accom separately and not a package deal).0 -
