Canvas Prints

Options
Can any one recommend one of the company's on the web for canvas prints.
I've had a search round but, there are so many and they seem quite expensive.
I'm looking to do 2 family portraits.

Cheers one & all.

  • Canvas prints aren't that cheap unfortunately. Aldi offer them, but I have no idea of the quality.

I use Photobox for all my needs and the quality has always been excellent, though I haven't used them for canvas prints.

  • hi have a look at this site its good quality ,also read this befor buying

HOW TO CHOSE A QUALITY PIECE OF CANVAS ART
I made this list after buying a canvas art print from a company off the internet and found it to be of very poor quality, since then I found out what to look for when buying a canvas print .
Lets face it we’ve all been there look at web sites that sell canvas art and bought the cheapest one going and when it get to your door you open it up and find its not worth the money you paid for it . The canvas is cheap thin polyester the image has little or no detail and the frame is made out of batten which you can pick up from any builders merchants ,and when you hang it on the wall it warps after about 12 weeks L
There are 3 things I think you need to check out before you come to a decision which canvas art printing company you will use to get your canvas art work from .This is my quick guide I put together and hope it helps some of you
(1)The first thing to think about is what sort of picture you would like on the canvas (i.e.) do you want a run of the mill stock image ,we’ve all seen them, new York cityscapes ,London eye or pop art which are on most canvas art sites at the moment , or would you like a unique limited edition image .
    (2) What quality will the print be .The only way your really going to know this is to look at all the different canvas art sites on the internet and there’s loads. I’ve look at lots and lots and the one thing I can say is most of them are so alike, all selling the run of the mill stock images for about for £20 upwards. What they don’t say is what materials they use ie What canvas , Frames , Ink and what ppi they print at, this plays a big part in the quality of the print . Take a look at this web site I found qualitycanvasart.co.uk go to about us page here you will find out what type of ink canvas and frames they use , the risen they list all the materials used is to let you know that they only use top quality products for there canvas printing , yes it will cost more, but it will last a lot longer than the cheap ones and there all Limited Edition
    (3) As for the picture quality the greater ppi the better 300ppi is ideal for a great looking print this will give loads of image detail on the canvas even when viewed up close , as long as the original image is of equal or greater quality .
  • i have used ALDI in the past, they are excellent.
  • Hello,

There are quite a few sites out there which sell canvas prints. I have bought off of canvas prints canvas-art-direct.co.uk they seemed pretty good quality and value for money.

Tesco do some sort of canvas service but I was only told that by a friend so don't know the full details on that.

    Over and out.
