Boots kitchen appliances - cancelled order, do I still get my point?

Morning,

I ordered a washing machine from https://www.bootskitchenappliance.com at the end of August during a double points promotion. I've now cancelled the order as it's still out of stock and they told me it coul be another 3 weeks before I get it.

Now, I've just checked my boots account on line, and the points are showing as 'pending' still, so can I go to a boots store and collect the points? Or will they try and take them off the card next time I use it?

Thanks,

Jethro

  • Boots Kitchen Appliances is run by another company that just use the name Boots Kitchen Appliances or Sainsbury's Kitchen Appliances etc..
As it is not Boots so I don't think you will have your points credited.

Yours seems like a normal experience with the company by the things on the internet I have read - lead to believe product is in stock for quick delivery then when order placed not in stock and have to wait weeks.

Make sure and even though you have cancelled, they give you your money back they don't still try and deliver in a few weeks like an experience of one person in the vent section click here
  • I might nip across to the boots store over the road from my office and see if i can get my points (1500 or so) added to my card.

if they do get put on, will boots try and take them back off me again when they realise the order's been cancelled?

I don't know how it works because it is all this separate company "DRL Limited" awarding the points on purchases.
  • Hi
not sure if this way any relevant but I ordered a cross trainer from boots and they messed about with delivery and taking it back to warehouse. When I phoned to enquire they tried to reorder and realised that they didn’t have any stock left. They did keep the points on my account to apologise but I don’t know if the equipment came from boots or another company.
I took weeks before I was able to get the points from the online order though.

I'm going off the Op's subject but can anyone tell me if you can 'spend' Boots points online?

I have quite a large number on my adv card and want something electrical or a camera.

    Thanks. maisie

    Thanks.
  • no, boots points can't be spent on-line yet, only instore. I just bought a camera on points from my local boots as we also had loads of points from doing the mobile phone thing through boots!

When you say, "...yet..", do you think it may be possible in the future? I get really annoyed that I build up loads of points online, and then I have to spend them in-store (miles away).

Hi, sorry, what's the 'mobile phone thing' you mentioned? I'm liking getting free points!
  • Go to Boots website and on there you'll see a link for mobile phones.
If you get a contract phone, you can get up to (I think) 42,000 points over the contract term.
I think you get 1000 when you first take it out, you send in a couple of the bills - set months ie 6 9 and 12 then at the end they credit you account with lots of points.

My sister got 36,000 this way.
