2 Burner Gas BBQ £15 @ Asda

In my local Asda store today they have reduced their 2 burner BBQs to £15 (from £30). I have no idea about the build quality, and the gas is going to cost more than the BBQ, but it does seem cheap.

The item is still on sale at £30 on the website but this link will show you what it looks like.

I bought this about a month ago for £15 in my local Asda (Aintree) and its a very good bbq. It was easy to assemble and I have a few BBQ's on it now and its really good. The only downside I found was buying the gas. It was £29.99 for the rental agreement as I've never had a gas bottle before then £20 for the actual gas.

Try and find an old bottle to avoid the rental charge - Freecycle, flytipping areas, travellers sites or your recycling centre if they'll let you have one.

I was in Asda huddersfield late this afternoon when they announced that these were being reduced to £15. I must have beaten the land speed record to get back to where they were, and was really pleased with myself when I managed to pick one up.....Only problem was, when I got home my husband said he didn't wasnt a gas bbq cos he likes how I get food to have an authentic burnt taste using a charcoal one.....such is life :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My missus gave me the exact same reason for not buying one. "If I want to cook the food by gas, I'll stick it in the oven"

We went to our local ASDA (Dunstable) and saw these just inside the entrance, there were two different BBQs, one was a slightly small size than the other. They were in two separate piles and the £30 down to £15 sign was on the pile of the smaller BBQs of which they had about 12, but the £15 was not on the pile of bigger BBQs.
As there were only 2 of the bigger ones we decided to take a bigger one and if it didn't go through at £15 we would argue the point, then as a last resort take a smaller one instead, but got it to the till and went through at £15, so well chuffed!! :j
Many thanks OP, we've been looking a getting one for ages and was looking around the £30-£50 mark, so this has saved us a tidy bit. Many thanks

We bought one from Asda Living in Cortenwood near Barnsley (they had a stack of about 50 on Friday) and used it for a family bbq on Saturday.

Was very impressed with it and made a good change from our usual charcoal one

Can anyone recommend a good cover for it while not in use to stop any rust ?

    Thanks
  • Asda in Greenhythe near Dartford and Bluewater had about 10 downstairs just before the tils. Also patio set two folding chairs and table also down from £30 to £15
