Not sure if this has been posted but I couldnt find anything so.....
I just popped into my local Sainsburys at Northumberland Park in Shiremoor, Newcastle for some milk!!!
...and I always have a quick look round for any potential bargains and I noticed that Sainsburys had reduced the Gelert 2 man quick pitch pop up tent from £34.99 to £8.74. The colour is Kookie...
Bargain I thought especially with the kids holidays just started and having 2 kids under 5 its a great play den for them in the garden...
They had at least 5 or 6 left, but the lady at the check out was that impressed with the price that she was going to get herself one too...
This is here at Amazon...http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gelert-Quick-Pitch-Two-Tent/dp/B00322QRRI
Not sure if its nationwide, prob worth checking thou as its cheaper than a wendy house and will last...:j

Camping reductions are apparently nationwide and not just restricted to tents.0

from what I have heared that is about as much as you should pay for these tents anyway as they are not really practical for camping. Should be great for the garden for kids though.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

Just picked the last one up from my local Sainsburys. I have bought it to use as a changing room/loo/beach tent. It is a good size and very easy to put up and down (you tube vid shows how to put it down again)
The kids have filled it with their bedding and are vowing to camp in the living room tonight!!Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -

that's a tad unfair I think. A bunch of us went camping recently and one couple with 3 kids and a dog just brought 2 of these with them. they were the first ones up and the first ready to leave. It was a good weather weekend though - maybe that's the key. either way was a tad jealous at the ease and small amount of space taken up these were.0 -
We're old hands at camping, having owned everything from an 8 berth trailer tent to tiny domes. I bought one of these on sale at £15 in Argos a short while ago- it's a brilliant addittion to the collection.
We used it in France when we Eurocamped as a group to alleviate bedroom squabbles- and it withstood pretty major rain one night. It has a hydrostatic head of 2000, which is fine in most weathers. It does suffer from being single skinned though- there will be some condensation, but nothing major.
Since then, we've lent it to the neighbours who threw it outside their camper at a festival, and we'll be using it in the awning of our caravan as a bedroom in the autumn.
For less than £9, I'll be picking up another if I see oneDTD...Dreading The Detox.0 -

Yerh it was the condensation thing and i have read some reviews that say they are rubish in the rain. I was going to get one, but went for a two skin pop up instead. I probably would have used the single skin one for this price, but couldnt find one this cheap at the time. I am a review addict though. heheheDebt free since July 2013! Woo hoo!
