Help please!

I have bought this black dress for a wedding I am attending next Friday

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_007010236860_-1

I usually wear brightly coloured items, so this is a bit of departure for me, but I decided that it was a lovely dress and very classy.

But!!!! I am struggling to find shoes and accessories to go with it! Being the colour lover that I am I dont want to wear Black.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many Thanks

    Nice dress.
I would keep to black shoes but bring in colour by pinning a bright pink flower on the front of one shoulder strap and have a matching pink bag.
    Born to shop;)

I agree with Fenella. There are flowers with pins everywhere at the moment. Even noticed some whilst cutting through Primark today! Maybe you could by the flower, black shoes and pin a bit of ribbon in a bow in the same colour and the handbag & facinator to match?

I like the dress but unlike the others I'd go for the colour more and do it with shoes too. I have a similar sort of style dress I wore to a dinner function - I wore amethyst jewellry (quite delicate, not huge blingy bits), some purple sparkly shoes and had a small purple bag. I got so many compliments on my shoes...which had cost a mega £15 from New Look!
If you like bright colour I don't see why you couldn't go for bright pink, or red...maybe even yellow? There was a similar thread on the weddings board a little while ago and loads of people there suggested red or pink to go with a black/white dress

I don't have any suggestions but just wanted to say it's a lovely dress :)

Ditto. I always think that sort of neckline is very flattering. :)

I have a pear of cream/beige shoes with a black toe and black bordering that I would wear - failing that, black shoes. If I really wanted to get some colour in, I'd do it with a scarf/wrap and/or necklace.

I think you should go for shoes of a lilac colour (something like these ) and then team it with a flower. :)

How about coloured shoes and a matching bolero type cardigan?

I agree, pick one loud colour & get shoes, bag & accessories in that colour, something like fuchsia.

    Lovely dress, very Audrey Hepburn;)

Lovely dress! There are loads of great satin shoes around in red, purple and blue - bags to match.

    Enjoy the wedding!
