declined credit and linked account

Hi, last week I have been declined a 15k loan to consol my debts etc. I checked out my credit report afterwards and it seems that I am heavily overcommitted. I know its a tuff market getting loan etc. I have never missed payments etc.
Now my wife wants a £10k loan to pay off 1 credit card and pay money back to family and also pay for a college course.
She is not overcommitted but is now concerned that she will not get the loan cos we are financially linked(my declined appl etc)

We do have other debts jointly too. MTG and unsec loans....

What are the chances of my wife getting a loan soley in here name (she has a perfect credit rating too). I hope I havent jeopardised her from getting her own Loan.

thanks:o

Your income vs debt ratio should not be taken into account for your wife's applications just because you have linked accounts.

However, if you have ever missed a payment, have defaults or CCJs, this will have an impact on her.
