Possible visit from a DCA today

My partner was made BR in May.

Unfortunately his OR hasnt informed his creditors as quickly as mine did when I went BR.

We have sent copies of BR orders to several of his creditors. Some have been good and other have been rubbish.

One DCA who we are fairly sure have been told sent a notice of a postcard (for the postman to see) to say them are coming on Friday to visit.

I rang them on Tuesday and gave them all the BR info. They say they werent aware which is rubbish. They have been informed in writing and my partner has told them.

Anyway I stated in no uncertain terms that if they did call at our house it would be seen harrassment and I would be calling the police to remove them. They noted it and said they would pass the info on so no one called.

As you can imagine Im still anxious that I will have a visitor...this company havent managed to halt action dispite previously being told.

I cant not answer the door I am expecting between 3 and 5 deliveries today- often couriers around here use private cars so not
always obvious.

So my question is: If the DCA call at the door what do I do? The neighbours are curtain twitchers and I dont want trouble. Relatives of landlord and the letting agent live very close .

Do you have a copy of the BO? If so open the door and say that you are BR and he is trespassing and you wish him to leave the property, hand over the BO, say goodbye and close the door. You don't have to do any more than that.

I would bet though that you don't have a visit. Have a read to how the letter is worded.

Thanks Tigerfeet...dont actually have a copy of the BO and no printer so cant scan it. Cant even pop out to copy it cos of the deliveries.

It was a postcard "an agent will be calling between 8am and 8pm" type.

90% sure they wont call but I have a young son and am a bit anxious.

By any chance was it a Mr Green or Mr Brown who would be calling?

You can 'call' useing a phone;)

If thats the exact wording, it could mean anything.

Yes I just thought that about the phone as I read the card again. What idiots they are...

I received a few of these pre BR and no one ever called, and the name was always a colour, that is why I asked the question I did. Looks like they are just plucking names out of the air now

R McCormack sent a card to my OH, was supposed to be calling on Saturday there - no sign of him/her .
