Blair oliver and scott.....

I posted this message on another bos forum and was advised to start a new thread..... any advice or even opinions would be appreciated.
To cut along story short, I have had a fair amount of debt over the past 5-6 years! I have managed to pretty much get them all paid. Two of my debts were my halifax bank account and my halifax credit card. Both of these were 'taken over' by blair oliver and scott. Not being the most clever person when it comes to money, I just thought this was normal (maybe it is)! anyway over the years I paid off my bank account overdraft debt via blair oliver, even refusing their partial settlement because I was told if I partially settled it would go on my credit file. I still have my credit card debt left but I have found information and posts on this website saying that Blair Oliver are a bad company and people who deal with them should request to see a copy of my agreement..? and maybe I shouldn't be paying them?.... also should I be requesting to reclaim my credit card bank charges!! As said not sure if this is the right forum to post on but any advice would be appreciated as am rubbish when it comes to knowing when the law is on my side!

Partial settlement vs full settlement (satisfied) won't make a vast difference even though all creditors score you independently anyway.
But if you choose not to pay for lack of an enforceable agreement, you will get a default. Defaults do alot of damage to your file, far more than a partial settlement marker.
Reclaiming of charges is possible, but only charges over £12, and only those from the last 6 years. - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/credit-card-charges
If you had any PPI you can look into this - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
If you want a true copy of your agreement, it costs £1 - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=33791621&postcount=4
Big warning if you decide not to pay your debts due to an unenforceable agreement, remember enforceable just means if it can be done via the courts (CCJ/Bailiffs) it does mean the money is still owed - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=33792503&postcount=47Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0
