kgbdeals - the hotel offer company

Today's deal (Birmingham) offers a years membership for £5 instead of £39.95.

Hotel is free but you agree to a minimum spend B&B + Dinner in their restaurant. I've tried to find out how much this would actual work out at, but of course the info isn't available. Anyone got more info as it might be great or on the other hand.........?

(Not sure if this is the right board to post - please move it mods if necessary)

I signed up to this (I got that same Groupola deal for £5, as well as getting £5 cashback from Topcashback, so it was effectively free!) and having got my login, as I expected it's ok, but not brilliant.

Take one example of the Best Western Studley Castle hotel - you have a minimum spend of £45 per person per night, so for a night that'll cost you £90 for a couple if you stick rigidly to that figure (not including tips I presume).
The best B&B rates I can find if you book yourself are £80 per night, and if you add in cashback you could get of around 10%, that takes it down to £72.

Therefore effectively you're getting dinner for about £18 for two people (not including tip), which is fairly cheap - but that's as long as you don't go over the £45 per person.

Not forgetting that you may not be able to spend that much per person if the menu's not that pricey, so end up having to buy drinks/food you don't want to make up the total (I presume you get whacked with the full charge if you don't meet the minimum spend).

This is just one example, but I also checked another hotel and it came up with similar figures (and a 3 course meal was only £26, so you'd have to find another £20 to spend on from somewhere!)

Worth a look, but probably not worth buying membership at full price (£40 for a couple) unless you go to a lot of hotels, don't mind eating at the hotel every night and like big meals!
