free or cheap washing machine ideas please

My Washing machine just died and although the repair guy thought that it could be fixed for £70 (money I didn't have but could borrow until payday) it turned out it was a split drum as well and couldn't be fixed economically

So I'm now stuck without a washer. I do have a laundrette about 1/2 mile down the road from me, and I have a car, a trolley and a strong mate so could collect a second hand/free washer.

I've looked on my local freecycle groups that I've just joined, found out about freegle and tried that too, considered ebay with a low bid on something but where else could I look?

Have you tried the Freebies section of Gumtree? And try SnaffleUp.co.uk as well.

It might be worth checking back regularly to these websites if you don’t find what you’re looking for.

Thanks for that, I've managed to locate one, shifted it and now done my back But at least it was at the right price
