Hi all,
i really want a nice looking hanging basket for outside our house, but dont want the expense of buying bedding plants and i think they are a waste of money as they just die.
I thought of a silk hanging basket and seen one at our local garden centre but they didnt have much to choose from and looked slightly naff.
Has anyone got one? Or where could i get a nice looking one that isnt too expensive? I have thought of making one myself but dont know what fake flowers to use!!
Also the neighbours next door are very greenfingered and they have a huge hanging basket so i need something to look just as nice as thiers.
Thanks

For what I can see online they're not cheap. You're looking at £45-55 if you want something decent.
Here is a listing from an Ebay seller with good feedback.

And the Google Shopping listing for 'silk flowers hanging basket'

Please don't get one, they look absolutely awful and you can tell from a mile away! The seasons getting on a bit now but you can still get a decent cheap basket if you look around. Better still make one from a single plant, say a trailing fuchsia for instance, it will look natural, cost next to nothing and will be something to be proud of. Good luck!0

I agree with the above. I pass a house on my way to work that has two outside....... they are not nice and are there all year round with "summer flowers" in them......... horrible!
I have baskets and tubs all year round and I enjoy planting them up for the different seasons. It doesnt have to cost a lot.0
