    Can I just speak up in favour of Dave Ramsey - he may charge for his site, but he does a radio broadcast (I think daily in the US) which us in the UK can download for free as a podcast. He is also a Christian, so understands the whole tithing issue. As you are in the US, you can call in to his show for free or email while he's on air.

    We have used his principles to not only get out of debt, but also to start really planning our financial future as a family. He is good for the overall strategy, within which we use methods such as menu planning, making sure we are getting the best deal on utilities etc to stick to a viable debt reducing, income stretching budget.

    Dave's approach is completely different and far more radical than Martin's - for example he doesn't agree with the use of credit cards at all.
