I read somewhere that one of the supewrmarkets will refund the difference and give you the item free if you see it elsewhere cheaper.
Was it Tesco (crosses fingers) and if so, how do you prove it was cheaper elsewhere ?
Thanks

I think it used to be Tesco.
Wasn't there a story once where a small local sports shop got so annoyed with Tesco selling sports clothing so much cheaper than him that he took advantage of Tesco's 'refund the difference'.
It so happened that they were both selling the same sports socks; Tesco at £8 (or something) so he reduced his to 1p. Got a relative to buy a load of £8 socks and then clear his stock out of 1p socks. Taking the receipt to Tesco to collect the the difference and get the items for free.
Something like that?!?!
Reassuringly expensive0
