Looking for advise please

Ok so firstly writing this debt down in black and white is going to be a scary thing for me... so here goes....

I have -

£8000 loan
£7000 loan
£3000 credit card
£2000 sofa
£1500 overdraft

I think it has never really been an issue before as I can afford to make my payments so never miss them (have only ever missed credit card once) however I have now totally seen the light and really want to have no debt and get back on track! My loans have 3.5 years left on them, due to paying them I can't pay much more than the minimum amount on my credit cards and the strings are getting tighter and tighter each month. I never thought I'd be stupid enough to get in the situation but apartently I was wrong...the big white wedding and dream honeymoon doesn't all seem worth it now if I'm totally honest.

I don't want to be bankrupt (of course) but is there another option? I am clueless when it comes to things like this hence why my finances are now in such a state!! :(

thanks!

Hi Wantbackontrack and welcome to the forum,

If you could post your statement of affairs on the thread advice on how to save money and get out of debt is widely available. There are also options with the consumer credit counselling service and national debtline who provide advice and assistance free of charge. Initially though if you post your SOA there will be many money saving suggestions.

Good luck and well done on taking the first step

If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.
