I have been offered a two and a three seater sofa but it would need recovering. I love the shape and the design, but like the idea of having it recovered to match my living room. The original cover is shabby and not in a nice way.
Any idea of how much would it cost to recover in a mid-price fabric?

Your best bet is to go over to Yell.com and type in 'upholsterers' and the name of your town and see what comes up. Then you can get youself a few quotes to give you an idea of costs.

Of course the other thing you can consider if the prices are too much is using throws.0 -
My mate is an upholsterer and he re-covered ours for about £500.
It's arguably cheaper to buy a new one but we liked the shape and comfort of ours.
Arguably it's greener too. ie more eco friendly rather than the colour.
