Charities/boot sales in Edinburgh or Glasgow that sell good quality clothes?

Options
I need to buy some clothes, but can't afford places like Next, Oasis, Warehouse, etc anymore.

Any idea where I can find charities/boot sales that sell second hand clothes from good brands? Any posh area you particularly recommend? (Edinburgh or Glasgow preferred, but would also go to other places nearby).

Thanks

  • I always find that charity shops are a bit hit and miss, but it depends on your size / style I guess. Definitly the best charity shops in Edinburgh are the ones down Morningside Road (I think there's about 5 or 6 that sell clothes) and the ones in Stockbridge.

Otherwise you could try somewhere like TK Maxx which sells discounted branded clothes or just hitting the high street armed with all the discount vouchers you can find (this website is a good place to start!) There's some fairly good sales on at the moment as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Ross
  • If you are near Livingston then there is a Next outlet, M&S outlet, and many more.

This charity shop and reuse map is really useful - thanks for that. I'm sure I can find lots of interesting stuff in those places.

Ross and Merrywanderer, thanks for your suggestions as well.

I got a pair of good quality leggings for £5 at Next the other day and I was really pleased with that.

Glasgow can be a bit hit and miss, too.

But there's a great TK Maxx on Suachiehall Street that are always as cheap.

There's a couple of them on Victoria Road.
