Dress Fittings

Hi all

Well I've heard that my dress has been shipped and will be delivered to the shop at the latest by next Tuesday :j:j:j

So, can you tell me. I'm going to try the dress on next Weds, but they don't have a seamstress available that day, and I can't do any other day next week and then my mum moves north at the end of next week.

Now i'm thinking of having a fitting on Friday 3rd September - it should only the be the length to alter I think - and then have another / final fitting on Friday 24th September - picking the dress up week commencing 4th October in time for my wedding on 9th October.

Does this sound realistic?

How many fittings did you have?

I just don't want to upset my mum by having a fitting without her, but I can't see how we can pull it in during August with her starting a new job and moving house. But she should be available on Friday 3rd sept.

I have emailed the bridal shop to ask them and see what they say, but just wanted to pick your brains?

xx

Normally 2. One for the adjustments and 1 for the final when the adjustments have been done. x

Why would she be upset with you for having a fitting without her? As long as she's seen you in it i can't imagine why she'd mind, she's the one moving after all. ;)

yeah I guess - just trying to make sure she doesn't feel "left out" but like you say if the shop says it needs to be earlier then she will have to put up with it unfortunately. Am probably worrying for nothing.

    Thanks
