if there is - and evidence can be provided - I don't see a problem with the thread.
it's the write offs they're talking about. the tenants are currently paying rent on the commercial property so the banks either continue to receive rent on a depreciated but increasing property value or they write it off now to make their profits look tidy in the future.
it's been going on for 18 months and i can't see it changing in the next 18 months.
but hey - the headline of the story sounded good
