On Saturday 16th Sept Portadown hosts its now annual 'Country Comes To Town'. My kids have loved this over the last few years -tractor mad little boy, animal mad little girl. The event is free, although several things have small charges and the town is jam packed with steam engines, tractors, old motorbikes and vintage cars, animals/rare breeds and traditional soda bread/butter making stalls to name a few. Also rural craft, country music/local Irish/Scottish Dancers. In the 'peoples park' there are pony and horse shows. A Steam train is running on the day from Lisburn, stopping at Moira and Lurgan. It really is a good day out for kids. Be warned it gets very busy.Website is https://www.countrycomestotown.co.uk
