Coupon-accepting Tesco/Sainsbury stores in central London ?

Hi,

I have been hooked onto the Coupon craze in the last few months.

I never had any problem at any Waitrose but all other stores I have tried - they do not allow using coupons against other products.

Can people share the locations of Tesco/Sainsbury stores in central London (zones 1 or 2) that will allow coupons usage w/o buying the particular product ?

Thanks in advance.

I will also have apreciate feedback on Sainsbury as today I was not allowed to use coupons.
    Thanks.
  • It is actually Tesco and Asda policy that they will accept the vouchers even if you haven't paid for it. Try the self scans if all else fails.

Yep, it's definitely only Tesco, Asda and Waitrose that have the policy to accept money-off coupons without buying the product.

You would be refused in Sainsburys (unless you confidently hand over a couple when you have done a big shop, choose a young lad on the till and tell him you have bought the product - IME he won't check). But better to use up your stash at a supermarket who won't jump down your throat about it if they see you are not buying the product.

The only store you can be pretty certain with anywhere in the Country is Waitrose, they seem pretty clued up as to their policy (and their HO has helped put staff straight on the odd occasion when MSEers have, at first, been refused coupon-use).

Sorry I can't help specifically with your area, maybe phone up some local stores and ask them (they shouldn't be funny about it as their HO does have a policy on it so you are not being cheeky). Find Tesco details on their website storefinder.
