Favourite places to buy lime and rose essential oils?

I'm still evolving my diy face potion.
At night, I use a hot face flannel and a castor oil with tea tree essential oil mix to cleanse my face and neck.
Then I use a face oil. My current mix is olive, castor and olive oils.
I tried adding honey, but it felt drying. So I added some boiled(then cooled!) water, and it was perfect.
It's all in an old pump bottle (No7 Protect and Perfect old glass pump bottle), and I give it a shake before applying, and it's really good. Moisturising and soothing.
The only thing is that I'd like to add some essential oils for smell and their effects. What are your favourite places for purchasing rose and lime essential oils suitable for skin use?

how did you add water to an oil mix and what effect does it have on your skin?
I rub vaseline on my face with wet hands, it seems to make it less greasy and spread better
My fave essential oil company is NHR Organic essential oils
http://www.nhrorganicoils.com/
The quality of their products is really good, and their customer service is good too..We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Thank you for the link.
I'm not sure if the honey is helping the water and oil mix a bit. I do have to shake the bottle to mix it all up before application, but it all comes out mixed and goes on nicely.
I'm slowly learning, and liking all this diy stuff. It's like having the luxurious feel of the most expensive Clinique/Chanel potions, but being able to slather it on not only on my face, but also my hair and body, without worrying about the cost. AND it's all being tailored to what my body is doing, and the smells I like!
So to answer your question of what effect it's having on my skin:
- I started with the oil cleansing method, and it's cleared up my complexion. No more little hard "spots" that refuse to be budged, regardless of squeezing or steaming (or screaming).
- then I started using an oil to "moisturise" after cleansing. It's now a mixture of oils, and it's great, as my face now no longer has all these flakey patches.
- there are a couple of small reddish areas on my cheeks, and I read about honey helping with that. So I tried adding honey to the oil mix. It felt sticky and annoyingly drying to my skin.
So I read up a bit more about honey, and apparently, it attracts water. This ties in with my skin feeling drier! Therefore it made sense to add a touch of water (tablespoon or so) to the 30ml bottle of honey and oil mix. Shook it, and it mixed up nicely. Added it to my face, and it feels so lovely and soft. Even after overnight, my face still feels moisturised.
- Next step, I'd like the mixture to smell nicer, and rose and lime are smells I like. I've also read up on them, and they seem to have properties for the skin and mood, etc, that would apply to me. So this is the next step!0 -
Rose otto is one of the most expensive (if not the most expensive) essential oil! If you find it "cheap" check whether it has been diluted and by how much.
The pure essential oil smells wonderful though.0 -
I'm (amongst other things) a fully qualifed aromatherapist, able to blend my own oils.
I buy all my oils from here
http://www.eoco.org.uk/0 -
I'm also a qualified aromatherapist, and buy all my things from www.aromantic.co.uk - they are excellent quality and can get some very unusual things. As a previous poster mentioned Rose is very expensive, gram for gram it's more expensive than pure gold. Geranium is an excellent alternative, having a natural affinity with the female and a hormone balancing effect, much the same as Rose oil. Hope this helps.0

I buy mine from Amphora
http://www.amphora-aromatics.com/
but they have a shop in Bristol where their prices are cheaper than online.0 -
I am also a qualified aromatherapist ( there's a lot of us about!) and I totally agree that Rose otto is very expensive. I buy my oils from a company that will only supply to the trade and so he tends to be slightly cheaper, however about 4 months ago he was selling Rose Otto at 38.00 per 2.5 mls!
I prefer Rose Geranium which is lighter as sometimes Rose Otto can be heady and sickly.0 -

Hello
I buy mine online- from here:
https://www.essentialoilsonline.co.uk
I think it is a little bit more expensive than some other sites, but the oils are of fantastic quality and the customer service second to none- they are based in Norwich. I have never bought from anybody lese since I found them.
HTH.
