Thin makes for easier playing but wears out quicker, also effects how soft or hard you pick a string. It's all really down to a matter of personal taste. If you pick (no pun intended) medium it's the best of both worlds.lesley_rod wrote:My son has just started guitar lessons and has been pestering me to get him a plectrum so this is perfect but the choice of Thin / Blue, Medium / Red or Heavy / Green pick has thrown me - which one???
Brian May uses old pre decimal half-pennies for his plectrums.
