Oooh, I like the sound of this one! OK, I'm new to it, so sorry if I get it wrong. However, this week's goals for me are:

To feed the family totally from the cupboards/freezer (because the freezer needs defrosting and cleaning) and therefore to spend only my usual £10 on fruit/veg from the market on Wednesday and Friday.

To spend nothing on fares/petrol/parking (apart from Wednesday when I'm not lugging tons of fruit/veg home on foot) by organising myself enough to get out of the house in time to walk to work.

To list our four spare mobile phones on ebay

To get rid somehow of our Ford Galaxy as we are getting our new (old) car from my mother in law next weekend. (Oh and must sort out the insurance for it). The Galaxy must be gone by the end of the month as the tax disc runs out and I don't want to have to buy another one.

To get and stay virus free (personally, not PC) so that I can finally get to visit the family I used to childmind for and see their new baby. Baby was born in mid July and due to various illnesses (mine) I've not been to vist yet, and I'm DYING to meet her!

    Here I go...

    * Make lunch at least 3 times a week (but hopefully will be more)
    * Do not nip out from work for snacks ( how much money do I waste doing this? )
    * Do not buy any magazines, look online for news, gossip etc..
    * Have a sort out and see what is left to sell (not too hopeful here but you never know).

    Wish me luck...

    * Take a tin of soup/roll from home, for lunch everyday (except today, we're having a work lunch - paid for)
    * Do weekly shop on Saturday for less than £15 (as spent lots this weekend and will just need veg etc)
    * Purchase Grandma's Birthday present and send in time for her Birthday next Monday
    * Look around to see if any offers on Stanstead express, as have found half price Heathrow and Gatwick trains already, but nothing for Stanstead :(
  • I'm a new dfw and like the look of this. Here goes.

Take lunch to work everyday. So far so good:j
Lose 1lb at sw on Wednesday. lost 3.5 so thrilled with that.:j
Spend no more than £40 this week. Spent £104.67 but it was expected (dd's birthday).

Slightly off topic but there's a bus that goes to Stansted from outside of Stratford tube station, costs £7, £12 return I think. Takes 45 mins approx, goes every 15 mins or so, depending on time of day (runs all night but goes less often in the middle of the night). I think it leaves from Victoria as well but costs slightly more then.

Thank you! Have just done some reading and it's MUCH cheaper, only £13 from Victoria - only problem is my flight is at 6am and i'd have to be at Victoria for the 3:10 coach. Argh... :(

Next time though, that's how i'm travelling! bargain!
