If, like me, you are of a certain age and hark back to the 40s and 50s for radio entertainment, then I highly recommend getting an internet radio. I listen mainly to 1.fm, the UK 1940s radio show, the doo wop show etc. Also the 1920s Radio Show for pre-war music, including big band.
The only drawback is that they are addictive. I now have Radio 4 on onlt to wake me me up and give me the latest news.
I have a LiveRadio from Orange for £29 and an M & S radio for £49 - well pleased with both. The LiveRadio has fitted rechargeable batteries, as well as a supplied charger, and I can listen to it it in the garden. Of course, you will need a Livebox or other wireless router.:j

I couldn't agree more, amazing piece of kit, I have two, one in the kitchen and one upstairs which I can listen to when in the bath! The range of channels is fantastic, and it's great to find some oldie channels, Radio Northsea International takes me back to my youth, and I listen to others from other countries....I was lucky as I got 2 of the M&S ones for £29 each when they were on offer, well pleased with them, reliable, sturdy and grreat sound, would recommend these to anyone0

How different is an internet radio from a DAB radio?0

An internet radio streams its broadcasts from the internet, so it means you can hear stations from anywhere in the world as long as they provide a stream. There is a wider choice of stations available.
DAB radios pick up their broadcast over the airways like a conventional radio so you can only pick up stations that are transmitting a strong enough signal in your area.
In terms of music quality I would imagine they are roughly equivalent although it would depend on your signal strength/bandwidth and quality of data provided by the station.0
